Everything you need to know before your stay at Park Mountain Campground
Where is Park Mountain Campground located?
We're located at 500 Johnson Rd, Adirondack, NY 12808, in Warren County within the Adirondack Park. We're less than a mile from Schroon Lake and about 15 minutes from the Town of Schroon Lake.
What types of campsites do you offer?
We offer 15 campsites for both RVs and tents. RV sites include 20 amp electric and water hookups, with both pull-through and back-in options available. Tent sites are set among the trees with fire pits and picnic tables. All sites are private and spacious.
What is the maximum RV length you can accommodate?
We can accommodate RVs up to 30 feet in length. If you're unsure whether your rig will fit, give us a call at 518-290-0237 and we'll help find the best site for you.
Do you have full hookups (electric, water, and sewer)?
Our RV sites include 20 amp electric and water hookups. We do not have individual sewer hookups at each site, but we do have an on-site dump station available to all guests.
How much does it cost to camp at Park Mountain Campground?
RV sites are $65 per night or $2,400 for the full season (May 15–October 15). Tent sites range from $30–$40 per night depending on the site. Call us at 518-290-0237 for seasonal reservations.
When is the campground open?
The campground is open from May 15 through October 15 each year. We do not offer winter camping.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome at Park Mountain Campground. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, and we ask that you clean up after your pet.
How far is the campground from Schroon Lake?
We're less than a mile from Schroon Lake. It's an easy walk or a quick drive to the public beach and boat launch. Schroon Lake is a 9-mile-long lake popular for swimming, boating, fishing, and kayaking.
How far is it from Lake George?
Lake George is approximately 25 miles south of the campground, about a 30-minute drive. It's a popular day trip destination with beaches, shopping, and family attractions.
What amenities are included with each site?
Every campsite includes a fire pit and picnic table. RV sites also have electric and water hookups. Shared amenities include clean restrooms, showers, and an on-site dump station.
Do you have showers and restrooms on-site?
Yes, we have clean restrooms and showers available on-site for all guests.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 12:00 PM (noon) and check-out is at 10:00 AM. If you need a different arrangement, give us a call and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
How do I make a reservation?
You can book online through our booking page, or call us at 518-290-0237. A deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Seasonal site reservations are handled by phone.
Is there hiking near the campground?
Yes — the Adirondacks offer hundreds of hiking trails within a short drive. Pharaoh Lake Wilderness, Hoffman Notch, and numerous fire tower hikes are all nearby. We're also close to the Schroon Lake trail network.
Are there activities for kids near the campground?
Plenty. Schroon Lake has a public beach for swimming. Nearby attractions include Wild Waters Outdoor Center for whitewater activities, and the town of Schroon Lake hosts seasonal events and farmers markets. Lake George is also a 30-minute drive for additional family-oriented attractions.
